File Explorer Shortcuts That Will Save You Time and Streamline Your Workflow

If you spend hours navigating through folders and files on Windows, mastering File Explorer shortcuts can feel like upgrading from a bicycle to a sports car. The difference in speed and efficiency is massive. These shortcuts aren’t just for tech pros—they’re for anyone who wants to save time and avoid unnecessary clicking.


Basic Navigation Shortcuts

Open File Explorer Instantly

Shortcut: Windows + E
This opens File Explorer instantly, no need to search for it or click its icon.

Switch Between Open File Explorer Windows

Shortcut: Ctrl + Tab (when multiple tabs are open in Windows 11) or Alt + Tab (switch between windows)
